Susan Hoitt, Coordinator of Children’s Music Ministries

Susan Hoitt, our Coordinator of Children’s Music Ministries, joins our team as director of the Elementary Choir and co-director, with Dick Coats, of the Junior Handbell Choir.

Susan has a wealth of training and experience as a music educator and church musician, having earned a degree in music education from the University of Southern Mississippi, taught music in public schools, and served as a church musician, most recently as the full-time Director of Music at Forest Hill United Methodist Church for 10 years. Susan is also the Director of Mobile’s Singing Children, a community-based organization of three auditioned choirs for children from grades 3 through high school. Mobile’s Singing Children is now based at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church and will be rehearsing here.
