“Glorifying God and Making Disciples Who Witness and Serve”
This Week’s Service
Sunday Worship
We are excited to welcome Doug Marshall, President of the Presbyterian Home for Children, to the pulpit this Sunday, June 29. Doug will preach on Luke 8:22–25, the story of Jesus calming the storm, with a sermon titled “Call to Wonder.”
In this familiar passage, we are reminded of the awe and mystery that arise when we recognize the presence and power of Christ, even in the middle of chaos. Doug will guide us in considering how we respond when fear meets faith, and how wonder can be a doorway to deeper trust.
Come and join us for this special Sunday of worship, reflection, and hope. We look forward to sharing the journey with you.
SHPC We Want to Hear From You!
We’re beginning a season of listening—listening for God’s Spirit and the voices of our church family and neighbors.
This box is here to gather your thoughts, hopes, and ideas. Whether it’s something we could start doing, something we could stop, or something we could do more faithfully, your voice matters. Look for a box in the hallway.

Our Zentanagle workshop was so much fun, participants asked for another go! On Sunday afternoon, July 13, we will tangle once more in the Bullard Building. Both previous participants and newbies are welcome! If you participated previously, bring your official Zentangle kit. If you are trying for the first time, be sure to let us know-on the sign-up sheet in the hall or by contacting Patrick Jacobs (and here I should provide contact info but can’t find) so supplies can be ordered.

Children’s Church We would like to continue Children’s Church during the summer, so, parents, we will need your help. Please sign up to volunteer for at least one Sunday. All members are encouraged to volunteer. The signup sheet is in the hallway or you can contact Susan Tomlinson @ 251-209-0792. We still need volunteers for all Sundays in August. |

USA offers a free, eight week course on balance and we are surveying the congregation to see if there is enough interest to schedule the course at SHPC. Shana Noland, RN, MSN and Becky Scarbrough, BS, teach the eight week course which is held once a week for two hours. A minimum of 8 participants is required to make the class and if we have enough interest, we can choose the day and the time we’d like to schedule it. The class is especially designed to reduce the fear of falling, to set goals for increasing activity levels, making small changes to reduce fall risks at home, and exercise to increase strength and balance. If you are interested, please call the church office at 251-342-1550 or Molly Wagner at 251-348-6892.

Flowers in the Sanctuary
If you would like to reserve flowers for the sanctuary we have 19 weeks to fill until the end of the year, please call or email Ann Magee at 251-232-4646 or [email protected]

Bible Discovery
Bible Discovery invites you to our Sunday School class, Sundays at 9:15 in the Conference Room. We are excited to introduce our new Bible Study “The Mighty Acts of God. “Join us on this pilgrimage from the Garden of Eden to the New Jerusalem.

The church office will be closed on Thursday July 3 for the 4th of July Holiday.

Spring Hill Sunday
“Please plan to worship with us on Spring Hill Sunday, July 13. We will celebrate the anniversary of our congregation’s founding with joy and thanksgiving for God’s love and grace poured out on and through our church family. This year, Courtney Perry will preach and the intergenerational instrumental ensemble, led by Buddy Porter, will play. Members of the congregation will lead all parts of the service. Come celebrate all that God has done and is doing through Spring Hill Presbyterian Church.” After worship we will have a reception in the Fellowship Hall to celebrate Jaqueline Marrero’s 100th Birthday.
