Worship

WHAT TO EXPECT ON SUNDAY MORNING

Sunday worship at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church begins at 10:30 AM in the Sanctuary. The services last approximately one hour. Music is a big part of worship at SHPC! We have an outstanding choir and also include a good deal of congregational singing such as hymns, responses, etc. typically accompanied by the organ. The structure of our worship service is based on Reformed/Presbyterian patterns of worship that strike a balance between traditional order and contemporary language.

We typically celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper (sometime called “communion”) once a month. As Presbyterians we believe in an “open table” meaning that all are welcome to participate in the sacrament, regardless of what church background you come from.

Hearing assistance devices are available from an usher; large print hymnals are available in many pew racks or from an usher. After the worship service, coffee is served in the Fellowship Hall.
Please join us there.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

CHILDREN 3 years of age through first grade are welcome at the beginning of worship to hear the children’s sermon and then may proceed with a volunteer to the Bullard Building for Children’s Church. Parents may pick up their child(ren) from the Bullard Building following the service.

Can’t Be Here for Worship in Person?

Our worship services are streamed to our YouTube channel.

Of course we’d love to have you come to church in person, but sometimes we can come to you!

Youth Also Lead!

One of our most anticipated Sundays is “YOUTH SUNDAY”!
Our youth create, plan and deliver worship on this Sunday.
Youth select and perform music, liturgy and sermons with a refreshing and ‘youthful” point of view.

IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN

At Spring Hill Presbyterian Church, we believe that children belong in worship! We also recognize that children at different ages and stages have different needs.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Visitors are sometimes concerned about what to wear. Worship at SHPC is traditional, yet there is no Sunday dress code! Some men wear suits or jackets and ties, some wear khakis. Some women wear dresses, some wear slacks. All are welcome to worship, regardless of attire.
