Rev. Brandon Miles,
Senior Pastor

The Rev. Brandon Miles joins Spring Hill Presbyterian Church with a deep passion for building community and discerning God’s presence in our midst. Before coming to Spring Hill, he served in various roles at First Presbyterian Church (FPC), Florence, AL. He was first called to FPC in 2013 as the Associate for Youth and Family Ministry and transitioned to the head pastor position. Before this, he served as the Youth and Young Adult Ministries Coordinator at Oakmont Presbyterian Church in Hoover, AL, developing and implementing events, studies, and small group engagements for youth and young adults. In his early ministry, he served as a Chaplain at Highlands Presbyterian Camp and Retreat Center in Allenspark, CO, a Youth Director at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Tuscaloosa, AL, a College Ministry Coordinator at the University Presbyterian Church in Tuscaloosa, AL, and a Counselor Coordinator at the Presbytery of Sheppards and Lapsley.

Brandon is passionate about living out his faith. Early on, he began preaching in high school and knew he wanted to help open God’s word to others. He is a witty and compassionate person who loves talking about faith and how we, as God’s children, might live into and out of God’s grace. He has learned to listen to the Holy Spirit and the communities he serves, practice leading teams in discerning God’s activity, and engage in regular rhythms of spiritual practice to enable deeper discernment in his life and the church’s life.

Brandon and his wife Sarah have three children: Hadley, Sam, and Ellis. The family enjoys spending time together in the pool, playing with their dog Skyler, riding bikes, and being on the boat (most of the family). The children attend Mary B. Austin, and Sarah is an accountant. They are excited about continually discovering the wonders and joys of Mobile!
